Bart is a promising American actor, born in Torhout, Belgium. His first stage experience was a poetry recital at age twelve. In senior high he was praised for taking the lead as Napoleon in the high school play. With a solid background in dramatic arts and the theatre, Bart began his career in Europe and Australia before moving to the US in 2014. He speaks multiple languages that allow him to create exotic and interesting characterizations. In 2018 he joined the Collaborative Artists Ensemble in Burbank where he received great reviews for his portrayal of American poet Ezra Pound in the world premiere of ‘Waste Land’ at Studio Stage in Hollywood. As a Behavioral Therapist his favorite acting tool is the Meisner technique that he practices at Jeff Goldblum and Robert Carnegie’s Playhouse West.
« Almost stealing the show is Bartholomeus De Meirsman (Ezra Pound) whose confident, eccentric and bountiful characterization seemingly has no limits.
The Belgian native and former Playhouse West Meisner technique veteran never puts the brakes on the very flawed, but human, Pound.
And we are the better for it.
The character’s sincerity, ribaldry and energy give the play even more hilarity, hindsight and humanity than it already has. »
Radomir Luza - Theatre Critic
« Bart is a terrific actor. He is a PRODUCER'S ACTOR, because of his reliability and commitment to the business side of his profession. So many actors spend so much time on craft, and that is a good thing, but not at the expense of neglecting the business side of the industry. Bart will show up on set, EARLY, and infected with nothing but a POSITIVE ATTITUDE, which is also why DIRECTORS love working with him. »
Patrick Shaw - 7th Galaxy Film Productions
« Bart is a man of extraordinary talents and just a great person to know. His acting is incredible and I know one day he's going to make it on the big screen in a big role. »
