I was born in a town called ‘Torhout’ in Belgium. I’m a Stage and Screen Actor with International credits in Theatre, Tv and Film. My first stage experience was a poetry recital at age twelve. After a few years in the school theatre group, I played Napoleon Bonaparte in my last year of senior high. That’s when I really knew that acting was my true calling. However, under the pressure of social expectations and self-doubt, going for the dream remains a constant battle to this day. I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs and graduated in Hotel Management as a safe choice and to try and please a need for recognition and accomplishment as well as making ends meet. A few years in corporate and countless lows made me realize that I would never be able to ignore my passion. I got back to acting and started doing some work with several Belgian student film directors. I wanted to get more on screen experience and dreamed of making it internationally into a market with much higher budget productions than in the Belgian Industry. I gained some experience in the business doing background and bit parts for TV and film and after working with a now Belgian celebrity on a short, I finally manned up the guts to audition for Drama school. LA schools were not within my budget and I got through the auditions at LUCA Lemmens in my home city Leuven. After some time there learning improv and the Method, mostly Stanislavski based techniques, my turbulent youth got the better of me and I slipped into depression. After my recovery, I left Belgium with nothing but a back pack and traveled around Asia for three years until I landed professional gigs and representation in Australia. In 2014 I first learned Meisner technique at Playhouse West and in 2018, I portrayed American poet Ezra Pound as part of the Collaborative Artist Ensemble at Studio Stage in Hollywood. The past two years I have been spending time in nature on road trips and when I got back to LA and took on another day job, not a week later the pandemic started. Since my departure from Belgium I have experienced homelessness several times. I am determined to keep going for my dream of breaking into Hollywood and making a full time living doing what I love. Acting is my way to freedom from anxiety and living in the moment. Last year I met my twin flame and the heartbreak from our separation became a catalyst to go deep within to heal residual childhood trauma and stay connected with my inner child. After excruciating pain, I started acknowledging my gifts as a highly intuitive empath and became a Behavioral Therapist, putting those abilities to use to help special needs kids in their early childhood development. Today I know 2022 is going to be an amazing year for everyone as more and more people will awaken to their truth and find more self-love. Attending to my spiritual needs and respecting my soul, I am continuing my journey as an artist as well and day by day discovering where that leads me as an actor and better version of myself.
